Balloon Pop Colours is a gentle colour game. Colourful balloons float up into the sky. Tap one and it pops with a soft sound, then a friendly voice says its colour: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, white or brown.

How to play the balloon popping game
- Tap or click a balloon to pop it. On a keyboard, press Space.
- Listen to the colour, then say it together.
- Watch the colour dots at the bottom fill in. Find all nine colours for a little celebration.
- Balloons that float away are fine. More are always coming.
For parents: made for you and your child to play side by side. There is no timer, no score to lose and no game over. Nothing is saved and there is no sign-up. The pop sound is soft, the Sound button mutes everything with one tap, and the Reduce motion button slows the balloons and turns off the confetti.
Ways to learn colours with balloons
- Name it first: before your child taps, say “I see a blue one!” and let them find it.
- Say it together: when a balloon pops, try saying the colour at the same time as the voice.
- Match in real life: hold up a toy or cup of the same colour after each pop.
- Keep it short: a few minutes of happy play is plenty.
Why play together? Play with a caring adult helps young children learn, talk and build skills, as the American Academy of Pediatrics explains in The Power of Play.
